Ein Monolog über den Bau eines Zuhauses.
The day I got off the plane coincided with the coldest week of the year: -14 degrees in the German capital. "Everything will be fine," I promised myself. I didn't mean the cold, though. I arrived in an unfurnished room with socialist-style windows facing the room that would be my source of vitamin D for the next 8 months. Facing north, though. Oops. The "Everything will be fine" mantra lasted for a while until... Well, "issues".
Mummy, Daddy & Other Issues is Núria Frías Corrius' reflection on one's own intimate space. A retrospective look at the childhood home, one's own identity and personal growth; but also at the relationship with parents, friends, partners and bureaucracy. And all this in a foreign city: Berlin.
